The company above is the responsible party for information handled through KraalKitchen. This notice explains our processing under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Information we use and why
We use the information you provide for accounts, orders and support: your name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order history and correspondence. Basic technical information, including IP address, browser data and session identifiers, helps operate the basket, secure the service and investigate misuse.
We process information to take steps towards an order, perform the purchase contract, meet legal duties and protect legitimate operational and security interests. We rely on consent where required, including optional electronic marketing. Browsing or ordering does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.
Payments and service providers
When enabled, card details are submitted to Stripe for payment processing; we do not store complete card numbers or card security codes in our store database. We receive transaction references and payment results. Relevant information may be shared with payment, hosting, delivery, technical-support and professional advisers only as necessary for their roles.
If information is processed outside South Africa, we will use the applicable POPIA safeguards, such as appropriate protection by the recipient or another lawful transfer basis. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as required for its purpose and applicable accounting, tax, dispute or other legal obligations. Account information may be needed while your account is active. Deletion requests are subject to legal record-retention duties.
We use reasonable access and security measures. No online service is risk-free. Please protect your login details and contact us if you suspect misuse. A security compromise will be handled in accordance with applicable notification duties.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to your information, correction, deletion where permitted, or object to qualifying processing. You may withdraw consent for future consent-based processing. We may verify identity before responding. Giving order and delivery details is necessary to fulfil a purchase; optional information is identified as such.
